Grandad, where are your teeth? By Freddy Johnson aged two ½ Grandad, remember when we both had no teeth, Now that is a lot to deal with, Our gums were slimy and pink, We stuck out our tongues and drooled in sync. Grandad, remember when we both smiled in the mirror, You even did it when you felt under the weather, You made me giggle with your toothless grin, You laughed so hard your head went into a spin. Grandad, I remember those days they were so incredibly special, They were full of fun, magic, and dribble, When I !rst saw you, I knew I would be your friend, Right from the beginning to this sad end. Grandad, I found your false teeth under the bed the other day, It reminded me of the way we used to play, I am all grown up now and I have my own teeth, If I lose mine, I will always have yours, now that is a relief. Grandad, I hate goodbyes, they remind me of the dentist, Drawn out, noisy, smelly, and expensive, That is why when I lose my first set of teeth I will not get upset, I will say mmmammaama like we did when we !rst met. Goodbye Grandad.
